RTX Theater

A 150-capacity theater with a 45-feet wide projection screen is home to The Hall’s signature film, Patriots Way. The 17-minute film, which was updated in 2019, connects the New England region to its football team, and evokes the emotion created by the Patriots roller coaster ride through history up until the team finally won its first Super Bowl in 2001.

The film is historical in nature but offers so much more. It features several fans from around the region – many of whom have been recognized in the past as the Patriots Fan of the Year. The film showcases the team’s birth in 1960 and many of its on-field struggles. It highlights some of the painful moments in team history until Robert Kraft bought the team and saved it from relocating to St. Louis. It then transitions from those lean years into the Bill Belichick era and the dynastic run that started with the Super Bowl XXXVI title. It touches on wins in Super Bowls XXXVIII and XXXIX as well as the perfect regular season in 2007 before a newly added section that highlights the Super Bowl XLIX win over Seattle, the Super Bowl LI comeback win in overtime over Atlanta and the most recent Super Bowl LIII victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

“The film evokes emotion and chills,” said Hall executive director Bryan Morry. “It makes you appreciate the championships by first reminding you of some of the rougher times in team history. We’ve had guests in tears as they exited the theater so we know fans really engross themselves in our signature film.”
