The Hall receives ISHY

Oakville, Ontario (October 14, 2011) –The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon was honored Thursday night in Oakville, Ontario as a 2011 International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA) Communication Awards recipient. The Hall at Patriot Place won the Online/Electronic Marketing category for its online marketing campaign that utilized several different platforms, including a monthly e-newsletter, Facebook, Twitter and Groupon to market the Hall to variety of potential customers. The Hall also received honorable mention in the Video Presentation Category for its 30-Second TV Spot.

Executive Director of The Hall at Patriot Place, Bryan Morry, accepted the award during the ISHA Annual Conference at the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum as part of An Evening of Champions.
“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the International Sports Heritage Association,” Morry said. “Being mentioned with and surrounded by these fellow award winners has been a rewarding experience. We take great pride in our online marketing campaigns and are constantly searching for new ways to reach out to new and future visitors to The Hall at Patriot Place.”
Seventeen winners and five honorable mentions were presented with the ISHY trophy and certificate. St. Louis Cardinals Museum Curator Paula Homan served as Communications Award Committee Chair.
“Members create effective communication as an integral part of their efforts to reach out to a diverse audience – members, general public and sporting professionals – fulfilling the mission that sustains their institutions,” Homan said. “The entire field of 2011 submissions was tremendous and each participating institution deserves our gratitude for a highly competitive contest.”
